Com base na norma IEEE 835 e na experi\u00eancia pr\u00e1tica global em engenharia de energia, este artigo analisa sistematicamente as cinco dimens\u00f5es principais do c\u00e1lculo da carga de corrente, o princ\u00edpio da correspond\u00eancia da tens\u00e3o, a otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o do cen\u00e1rio de assentamento, a sele\u00e7\u00e3o da adaptabilidade ambiental e a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o econ\u00f3mica. Cita manuais t\u00e9cnicos de fabricantes internacionais, como a ABB e a Prysmian, e combina casos t\u00edpicos da China Southern Power Grid para fornecer um modelo de decis\u00e3o de sele\u00e7\u00e3o com valor pr\u00e1tico. Tomando como exemplo um projeto de parque industrial, a corrente de pico \u00e9 calculada em 385A pelo m\u00e9todo de previs\u00e3o de carga din\u00e2mica. Consultando a tabela no Ap\u00eandice B do GB50217 \"Especifica\u00e7\u00f5es de projeto para cabos de engenharia de energia\", \u00e9 finalmente selecionado um cabo com n\u00facleo de cobre de 240 mm\u00b2. Deve ser dada especial aten\u00e7\u00e3o ao efeito da corrente harm\u00f3nica (referenciada na norma IEEE 519) no aquecimento do condutor.
